The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is charged with the collection of government revenue in Zimbabwe. To enable it to carry out its mandate effectively, every natural or legal person conducting business or earning income is required to register and obtain a tax identification number (TIN) This registration enables taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations, file returns, and comply with Zimbabwe's tax laws and regulations.

Taxpayer Registration

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is mandated to collect taxes and government revenue. To enable it to carry out this mandate, every business is required to obtain a Tax Identification Number (TIN). This enables businesses to effectively pay their taxes and file returns. Compliant businesses are issued with a Tax Clearance Certificate which is a crucial piece of documentation required by many entities throughout the course of the life of a business.
