Starting a business share
To start a private limited company in Zimbabwe, one must first reserve a company name with the Companies and Intellectual Property Zimbabwe (CIPZ), then register the company and submit incorporation documents to obtain a Certificate of Incorporation. Upon registration one obtains a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and a Tax Clearance Certificate from the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA). One is also required to open a local bank account and apply for a business licence from the respective local municipality (using Harare City Council as an example). Additionally, one must register as an employer with the National Social Security Authority (NSSA).
Those seeking work permits, investment incentives, or the ability to repatriate dividends may need an investment license from the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency
To register a foreign company in Zimbabwe, you must first apply for an approval certificate to carry out business activities. Once approved, submit your application and obtain the foreign company registration certificate from the Department of Deeds, Companies & Intellectual Property Next, register with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and obtain a Tax Clearance Certificate. Finally, open a local back account.
